Ramboll Oil & Gas to Take Concept Study for Petoro

Petoro, the licensee for the Norwegian State’s Direct Financial Interests, has awarded Ramboll Oil & Gas a concept study. The study will address defined issues and themes regarding a potential new wellhead platform at the Snorre field in the North Sea.

Ramboll looks very much forward to start working with Petoro and we are determined to deliver the best possible results. I hope this study will become a stepping stone for future cooperation as I am confident that our multidisciplinary consultancy approach holds a lot of value for this market”, says Gro Baade-Mathiesen, Regional Director Ramboll Oil & Gas Norway.

 Recommendations for facility concept

The main purpose of the Snorre study is to provide qualified recommendations to Petoro for the concept of the facility, if a wellhead platform becomes the preferred solution to ensure drilling of wells under the Snorre 2040 project. Solutions based on jacket and TLP substructures will be examined to obtain an optimal overall solution for the potential new wellhead platform. The job includes a complete cost and time estimate for the recommended solution.

The Oslo office will be responsible for the project completion. Besides the office in the Norwegian capital, Ramboll Oil & Gas also operates offices in Sandefjord and Stavanger.

Ramboll Oil & Gas has offices in nine locations worldwide, including Norway, Denmark, Qatar, the U.A.E., India and Russia.
