 Sterling Resources Starts Operations in UK North Sea

Sterling Resources Ltd. is announces that drilling operations have commenced on the South Cladhan exploration prospect located in Block 210/29c of the UK Northern North Sea. The well is being drilled using the Sedco 704 semi-submersible rig and is anticipated to take up to 40 days to complete.

We are pleased to launch the exploration program in South Cladhan with this well,” noted John Rapach, Sterling’s COO.We will be targeting similar Upper Jurassic channel sands to those that we have already appraised in the Cladhan field to the north,” added Mr. Rapach.

Sterling as operator holds a 25 percent interest in Block 210/29c, with Valiant Petroleum plc holding 30 percent, Wintershall UK North Sea Ltd. holding 25 percent and Agora Oil and Gas UK Ltd. holding 20 percent.
