Third cut Tricolor completed

The salvage team completed the third cut of the TRICOLOR yesterday evening at 23.00. It took approximately 21 actual cutting hours to severe the bow section from the wreck.

Shortly after completing this cut, the team proceeded with repositioning the jack-up rigs for the next cut. Now that the bow of the TRICOLOR has been separated from the vessel, another two cuts are scheduled, of which the first one is going to start in the near future, weather permitting. Once these two additional cuts have been completed, the salvage team shall mobilise floating cranes in order to lift a total of three sections (including the bow section) from the seabed.
