As Verification and Validation Coordinator you will be responsible for the Verification, Validation and Acceptance (VV&A) process within the engineering project(s) to ensure the document appraisal and deliverables of design reviews are delivered as evidence of compliance. With this, you support a traceable compliance demonstration trail back up to the complete set of requirements for the project. Depending on the specific requirements of the customer and the complexity of the project, this process can run from the proposal phase up to final acceptance of the naval vessel.

In the proposal phase the Verification and Validation Coordinator is responsible for customizing the standard verification, validation, and acceptance setup which consist of process, activities, and scheduling for the specific project, related to the engineering scope of activities. Throughout the engineering phase, the Verification and Validation Coordinator will oversee and review the traceability and verification of requirements, person-hours, planning, progress, and quality of Verification, Validation and Acceptance process of the engineering deliverables.

As process lead, you will direct the engineer(s) in the project with regards to the Verification, Validation and Acceptance process activities, during the execution of the project. You will contribute by working in close collaboration with the Test & Integration Manager and actively participate in reviews and meetings supporting the delivery of the full Verification, Validation and Acceptance process scope for the project. In addition, you will thereby contribute to the progressive acceptance process with the customer.

As Verification and Validation Coordinator your additional responsibilities are:

• Developing and maintaining the standard Verification, Validation and Acceptance process and its templates, where required tuned to project specific needs.
• Ensuring full compliance to all applicable requirements and specifications imposed by the class society and customer, related to the engineering deliverables of the project.
• Overseeing the progress of the Verification, Validation and Acceptance process activities related to engineering and delivering regular progress reports and status presentations during the various (design) reviews.
• Representing the Verification, Validation and Acceptance engineering process for document appraisal of engineering deliverables towards the Customer and the project management team.
• Communicating directly with your counterparts at the class society and the customer on Verification, Validation and Acceptance topics.

As Verification and Validation Coordinator you need to have:

• Master or bachelor degree in engineering or other relevant discipline.
• Minimum of five years experience in the design and engineering of high-tech complex products, preferably in ships, offshore equipment, or other relevant industrial installations.
• Affinity with Configuration Management, Requirements Management and System Engineering principles and practices in general.
• Specific experience with and understanding of the Verification, Validation and Acceptance (VV&A) process.
• Project Management skills on a basic level.
• Experience with operationally leading a small-size (engineering) team up to five people.
• Good command of the Dutch and English language, both written and verbal and mastery of the German language is a plus.
• Excellent antecedents because a pre-employment security screening is a standard part of the recruitment procedure.
• Permanent multiyear EU citizenship combined with permanent EU work visa are all requirements of the recruitment process for viable candidates, given the military nature of clients and projects.
