Vroon Offshore Services (VOS) B.V. operates from the port of Den Helder (NL), with an offering of modern platform-supply, subsea-support and walk-to-work vessels. The VOS B.V. Chartering team is based in Breda. VOS B.V. forms part of our Offshore Services Division, with further offices in Aberdeen (UK), Genoa (IT) and Singapore. The Den-Helder-managed vessels are active mainly in the North Sea area, with the area of operation occasionally extending to include the Mediterranean or West Africa. Our most important objective is making our customers successful by providing safe and highly efficient shipping services and offshore-support solutions. 

What will you do?
Forming part of the Chartering team, you are responsible for:

  • Chartering vessels to existing and new clients;
  • Leading tender activities for the Den Helder fleet;
  • Developing new business for our five subsea-support vessels;
  • Marketing and chartering vessels to clients in the North Sea spot market;
  • Establishing contacts and building relationships with new clients;
  • Maintaining close contact with existing clients and the wider broker network;
  • Collecting and presenting data that support market mapping and client profiling;
  • Preparing reports and presentations for internal and external shareholders;
  • Monitoring market developments;
  • Engaging in pursuit planning to attract future business;
  • Attending meetings, exhibitions and seminars to promote the VOS portfolio.

Who are we looking for?
Our preferred candidate has:

  • A Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Commercial or Business Economics, Business Administration (or equivalent);
  • A minimum of three years’ experience, either in a commercial role or in the shipping industry;
  • Knowledge of shipping charter parties;
  • Excellent commercial feeling and negotiation skills;
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify details and draw and communicate conclusions;
  • Excellent reporting and presentation skills;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and a quick learner of new systems;
  • Innovation skills, is able to take initiatives and has a creative mind;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and reporting skills in English;
  • The willingness and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment;
  • An open-minded attitude and is happy to work both in a team and autonomously.
