WilHunter Recommences Normal Drilling Activity

Further to the stock exchange announcements of 31st of January and 18th February 2012, Awilco Drilling PLC confirms that the WilHunter recommenced normal drilling activity today, 21st March, for MPX Energy Ltd on the Orlando well, Block 3/3b in the UKCS, as part of the SPD multi-well multi-client programme.

WilHunter is one of Awilco Drilling’s two Enhanced Pacesetter semi-submersibles and is equipped for drilling in water depths up to 1,500 ft.

Awilco Drilling Limited was incorporated in December 2009 in connection with the acquisition of the two semi submersible drilling rigs, WilPhoenix (previously Arctic II) and WilHunter (previously Arctic IV). The company is registered in England & Wales with its operation based in Aberdeen, Scotland. The Company re-registered to a public company on 14 April 2011, under the name Awilco Drilling plc.
