Zeebrugge Reports 1.7 million m³ of LNG Unload in May

According to Fluxys’s press release yesterday, in the first half of 2011 Fluxys LNG unloaded 41 ships at the LNG terminal in Zeebrugge.

The month that particularly stands out is May, with 11 unloaded LNG carriers bringing 1.7 million m³ of LNG (40.8 million MWh) to Belgium, i.e. around 30% more than the total volume unloaded in the previous record month of August 2010.

The Zeebrugge LNG terminal is situated on a 30ha site in the outer port of Zeebrugge, Belgium.

The terminal was commissioned in 1987 and supplies loading and unloading facilities for LNG carriers.
