60 pct of All Stones Moved from Future Wind Farm Area in Denmark

The two stone fisher vessels, moving the approx 5,000 tonnes of stones, which are a hindrance for the construction of the wind farm, have benefited from the favourable weather conditions.

Contrary to custom, the first half of November has had many consecutive days with good weather conditions; however, the work was naturally stopped during the storm on 27 November.

So far, the stone fishers have moved approx 60-65 per cent of all the stones and have established 10 new reefs within the wind farm area.

When the weather dies down, the stone fisher vessels are scheduled to assist in reinstalling the wave buoy which ‘made off’ and was later found on the Swedish coast by a man walking his dog.
