First to swim North Cape

First to swim North Cape Briton Lewis Gordon Pugh became the first person to swim around the North Cape Plateau. The adventurer got into trouble at the halfway mark, but managed to finish the trip much faster than he had hoped in the arctic waters, newspaper Finnmark Dagblad reports. Pugh had perfect conditions for the record swim, with a still sea and water temperature of 9-10C (48-50F).
