Forewind Kicks Off Dogger Bank Creyke Beck Public Events Next Week

Forewind will hold a series of six public events next week as part of the final consultation for its first stage of development, Dogger Bank Creyke Beck (starting Tuesday, 7 May).

The events will enable stakeholders, in particular people living or working by the proposed 30 kilometre cable route and converter stations near Cottingham, to learn more about the 2.4 gigawatt offshore wind development, and provide comments and opinions which will be considered in the final plans.

Stakeholder Manager, Nikki Young said members of the development team will be on hand to answer any questions and discuss the proposals with visitors. The consultation documents, including plans and maps, which give details of all aspects of the proposed development and of its potential impacts will also be available to read and review.

We encourage local community members to come to at least one event so they have the opportunity to talk to the experts and give their responses and feedback,” she said. “We have included both Saturday and Sunday sessions for those who may find it difficult to make one of the weekday events.”

The events will be held in venues along the proposed cable route, with the first event in the coastal village of Ulrome and the final one at St Stephens Shopping Centre in Hull.
