SMOE to Deliver Ivar Aansen Living Quarters to Norway's Apply

Singapore based SMOE, a subsidiary of Sembcorp Marine has awarded a Letter Of Intent for delivery of the Ivar Aasen Living Quarters to Norway’s Apply. SMOE is the Topsides EPC contractor to Det norske oljeselskap ASA for their Ivar Aasen field development.

Apply’s business area LQ & Helidecks will perform the work.

The contract includes delivery of a new 7 floor Living Quarters module with an area of 3300 m2, a capacity of 70 single cabins, recreation areas, control room, administration centre, change rooms, helicopter deck and other facilities required for operation of an offshore hotel. The Living Quarters will be built in aluminium. Engineering work will commence immediately and the delivery is in Q1 2016. The value of the contract is estimated at 75 MUSD.

Apply is at present also engaged in the delivery of the Living Quarters to the Hebron field development in Canada, the Eldfisk 2/7S, the Edvard Grieg, the Martin Linge and the Gina Krog field developments on the NCS.
