EPC Offshore Appoints New Head of Business Development

Specialist oil and gas project management company EPC Offshore has appointed a new head of business development to expand the firm’s customer base across the North Sea and internationally.

Jonathan White’s appointment is the latest in a series of new senior management positions amid strategic restructuring at EPC Offshore as it embarks on the next stage in its development.

The company has experienced rapid growth since it was established in 2009, executing in excess of £20million worth of project management work in its third year and doubling its employee numbers to 75 people based at two offices in Albyn Terrace, Aberdeen, as well as a team in Surrey.

EPC Offshore expects this to rise to 115 as it pursues its ambitious growth strategy during its fourth year in business.

This is a crucial time for our company,” said chief executive Keith Wallace. We have been making significant changes on a number of levels in recent months and this latest appointment forms an important part of our new business strategy as we look to capitalize on opportunities going forward.

We are committed to growing and maintaining our reputation for providing high quality services to our clients and have experienced strong interest in our services to date. Jonathan’s expertise and knowledge will be invaluable towards achieving our plans for expansion in the coming years.

White brings specialist technical understanding and knowledge of the oil and gas sector in addition to an impressive track record in commercial growth. During a career spanning almost 20 years, he has worked throughout the UK, Norway, Nigeria and the Former Soviet Union, rising from the role of drilling fluids engineer to senior management.

He holds a BSc (Joint Hons) in Marine Biology and Chemical Oceanography from the University of Bangor, Wales, and joins EPC Offshore from Aker Solutions where he was vice president of business development for six years. He has also previously held similar roles with Advantica and QinetiQ.

White will be responsible for initiating and developing business relationships with existing and potential clients to drive growth in the North Sea, in particular within the burgeoning subsea sector. He will also work to identify new commercial opportunities for international growth in the future.

He said: “What attracted me to EPC Offshore was the company’s reputation as a dynamic business known for its expertise and competence in reliably defining, controlling and delivering oil and gas projects to a diverse range of customers.

It is an organisation with enormous potential in today’s markets. This is a fantastic new challenge for me and I am delighted to be joining such a high calibre senior team with the clear determination to succeed.

EPC Offshore works with exploration and production companies to progress projects to sanction and final delivery. It uses a comprehensive and structured set of principles to achieve maximum project value, optimum resource utilization and quality assurance.
