Fred Olsen Names Two New-Build Crew Vessels

Fred Olsen Names Two New-Build Crew Vessels Fred. Olsen Windcarrier recently held a naming ceremony for the number two of four new-build crew vessels.

Godmother June Mette Friberg officially named the vessel Bayard 2

The ceremony took place at shipyard Båtservice AS in Mandal, Norway on a wet and windy day. During a guided viewing of the vessel, Anette Olsen got a chance to try the controls on the bridge and was impressed with the functionality and workmanship of the vessel.

The Bayard class has been specifically designed to best serve the high demands of the wind industry. Purpose-built for safe and efficient transport of crew and cargo to and from offshore wind farms, the Bayard class sets the standard for future crew vessels.

The vessel will soon be serving the development of the London Array windfarm for Siemens Windpower.
