Statoil to Use Transocean Searcher Facility for Operation on Tyrihans Field

Statoil has received consent to use the Transocean Searcher facility for re-completion of well 6407/1A-4- H on the Tyrihans field in production licence 091.

The facility’s planned position is:

• 64° 53′ 20.091″ North

• 7° 4′ 17.063″ East

The water depth at the site varies from 268 metres to 288 metres.

Estimated start-up is 16 May 2012 and the activity will last until 30 March 2013.

Transocean Searcher is operated by Transocean Offshore North Sea Ltd NUF and is a semi-submersible drilling facility of the Bingo 3000 type, built in 1983 at Kaldnes Mek. Verksted, Tønsberg.
