Brave Tern Working on Bard Offshore 1 from Eemshaven

The Brave Tern, Fred. Olsen Windcarrier’s 132 metre long and 39 metres wide jack-up installation vessel, berthed alongside the Wagenborg quay in Eemshaven last week, 11th of April 2013.

On the Wagenborg Stevedoring terminal mobilisation will take place before the vessel will start with the installation of a number of complete wind turbines generators for the Bard Offshore 1 project. The installation works will be conducted out of Eemshaven as base port. On the Wagenborg Stevedoring terminal complete rotor stars will be assembled and all required components will be delivered under the vessel’s crane hook just-in-time by Wagenborg Nedlift. Installation works are expected to finish summer 2013, meaning that this large vessel will be a regular sight along the Wagenborg quay in the Eemshaven over the next couple of months.

Wagenborg has been active in the offshore wind industry since a number of years. Though there is a strong focus on these activities in the Eemshaven, Wagenborg is able to provide related services in many different locations.
